Konsep Fiqh Al-Usrah Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir dalam Pembentukan Keluarga Sakinah di Era Kontemporer

Abstract

This study examines the concept of fiqh al-usrah developed by Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir in the formation of sakinah families in the contemporary era. The research aims to analyze its fundamental values, relational principles, and relevance in addressing the challenges faced by modern families. This study employs a qualitative approach using a library research method, through the analysis of primary and secondary sources related to Islamic family law, the concept of sakinah family, and the discourse of mubadalah. The findings reveal that fiqh al-usrah emphasizes the importance of mutuality, justice, partnership, and shared responsibility between husband and wife. This concept offers a renewed perspective in building harmonious, civilized, and spiritually oriented families. Amid social transformation, technological advancement, and shifting gender roles, fiqh al-usrah remains highly relevant as both a normative and ethical foundation in realizing sakinah families. However, its implementation still faces challenges, particularly patriarchal cultural structures and limited public understanding of mutual partnership principles. Therefore, strengthening family education based on mubadalah values is essential to ensure the broader application of this concept in contemporary Muslim households.
